$700.00

The Flower girl is a painting Gusenga painted while he and his friends were on holiday at Muhazi lake. The girl was a flower girl whom they met regularly every morning on their way down to the lake dressed in her ordinary working clothes. Gusenga recalls that his friends told the flower girl to come ‘exactly as she was Carrying a basket of flowers and the girl narrated to them how she survives by selling the flowers she comes to collect from the garden every other morning, she added that she sells those flowers on the streets just to find money to take care of her siblings who were all orphans. This tempting story made Gusenga and his friends put what they had together and bought the flowers saving the young girl from going to sell on the street that day. To bring her story to life it became an inspiration Gusenga captured the scene and presents it in a visual way painted.
