When Godfrey came closer to fish he started imagining himself living in the fish’s eyes. In this painting titled the fishermen Godfrey includes fish silently into the waters and treats them as living animals and places them in their rightful place, the lake. The fishermen painting reflect on the beauty beyond the lake and the life therein and urge us to stop pollution that is caused by the engines and all wastes that fishermen dump into the water destroying the fish’s’ home. With this as his main source of inspiration and focus, Godfrey has been able to paint the Sailors moving boat in varying colors; in blues, reds, yellows, oranges, greens, browns and greys.
He has Painted about the symbolism of the fish with inspiration from one  FISHMAN on lake Kivu who calls the lake his home as well like the fish does. He tries to compose with much effort and energy, bringing into the paintings an harmonious movement  between the boats. Godfrey captures the daily lives of the fish and the fishermen  in comparison with other lives and makes sure they carry a message for their being part of nature and our existence, too. As this painting of his reflect on the lakes and their inhabitants, they carry a message of our obligation to care for them. Saving the lake is one of the strong messages which cuts across his titling. Bringing these paintings to all mankind is Godfrey’s ultimate goal and his contribution to the environment. He doesn’t want future generations to come to see current endangered species in the oceans only in pictures. ‘’When the last fish dies, the last man dies”.

Colorful lines vertically laid to depict a sense of water unified by a series of boats filled with fishermen, it well shows the compact nature of african fishing boats that carry out multiple tasks on the waters of african water bodies, a great topic of research
