He is a born and raised Rwandan artist. MUGISHA Paul lost his parents at early age and had to grow up in the orphanage at 6 years old. Although life was tough by then, Mugisha found sanctuary in creating art, drawing on the floor with charcoals and making other crafts with any available media. Throughout his years, he was driven by the passion for talent of arts. Mugisha mainly focuses on African themes and figures in his artworks. After finalizing and passing the National exams in 2013, he went to the School of Arts to get more knowledge and meet other creative minds. From 2016  after graduating in Arts he participated in various exhibitions local and international such as THE NEXT PAGE, UBUGENI BUGEMA UMUGANI (Rwandan proverbs) that even had an original printed and registered catalogue and MY ART FOR YOU, which he participated in the collaboration workshop with the 14+ Tanzanian artists and Rwandan contemporary artists. Mugisha also participated in RWANDA RETOLD EXHIBITION that was launched in Kigali at Marriot Hotel and afterwards got hosted by MoCADA Museum in New York and also got hosted at the GOVERNORS ISLAND New York. Mugisha mostly use Ballpoint pen as major medium in his artworks, although he still use charcoal on primed canvas as well.
